We have some major things going on here...first, the Israelites cross the Red Sea---and the Egyptians don’t---and then we have the giving of the ten commandments. The desert narrative is picking up...we will spend the rest of the Torah Cycle talking about their time in the dessert. It starts out well...and there will be a lot of ups and downs to come.

I study with a group of very interesting folks at Mars Hill church in Grandville, MI. We read the materials from First Fruits of Zion (www.ffoz.org) and discuss together. This is my second year of exploring the Very Words of God in the Torah Cycle.
